The town of Kayl and Tétange are located in the south of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in the region known for over a hundred years as the “Bassin minier”. The Commune of Kayl has a common border with France and its territory is delimited by the Communes of Rumelange, Esch/Alzette, Schifflange, Bettembourg and Dudelange.
The commune of Kayl is very active on a cultural level and organizes many events throughout the year, in particular at the Schungfabrik - a former shoe factory, transformed into a cultural center in 1990 - or at the gallery of the FERRUM Museum inaugurated on December 3, 2021.
